The Rewritable Ink Chip Emulator is compatible with Mimaki printers as follows:
 SWJ, SIJ, UJV55 and 
ACUITY LED 3200R 
The rewritable chip emulator can be loaded with data files to update inks in your printer. You need to load the provided data file into the chip emulator and insert it into the printer as it would be a usual ink chip. 
 
Once the printer reads the data it accepts the updates. In this way you can upload  CMYKLcLm W Cl data files into your printer. This will open your printer to other ink manufacturers and reduce ink wastage.
 
The Rewritable Chip Emulator comes with a free set of 24 data files. The additional data file is 5.5 USD. (Depending on the cartridge you use, 1 file is equivalent to 600ml, 1L or 2L of ink. Once ink level counts to 0%, you need to load another data file into the Rewritable Chip Emulator and so on)
